Digital Modern Audio, whether in the form of podcasting, microcasting, social audio, smart speakers, voice assistants, AirPods, web-embedded audio, or audio books, is witnessing rapid growth and mainstream adoption. Users are pushing for access to information, companionship, and entertainment in new ways that do not hold their eyes and/or hands hostage to a screen. Government, whether local, state, or federal, needs to become aware that this new way of engaging with citizens is now a reality.
