Here are a few thoughts and items on matters sonic -- voice, sound and audio -- that we hope you will find interesting. As always, we would love to hear from you.
This week, our focus is on how to leverage the power of voice and audio to generate deep and lasting engagement with your audience, customers, prospects, citizens, followers, supporters, etc. Audio is effective, affective, and efficient when it comes to building deep and lasting bonds. Here are three articles that touch on this topic.
1. Quote of the week: "The audio party is on, and it's up to you if you want to get there first or to wait until everyone is already there. It's also up to you if you want to take out a long-term lease for some space in the mind of your prospects or clients or if you would rather let that space be occupied by a competitor." 3. Worth listening to: Podcasting Q&A: A podcast that provides "the best tips and strategies to launch, grow, and monetize your podcast. Whether it's getting more podcast listeners, promoting your podcast on social media, or how to produce high-quality episodes in your editing software, Podcasting Q&A has everything you need to succeed. New episodes come out every Monday."
4. Worth watching: The latest episode of Lingofest. This past week, we premiered Part One of our interview with Dr. Maria Aretoulaki. Coming up next this Wednesday is Part Two of the interview.
5. Guess the audio: Since we started this segment, we have been publishing a snipper of audio from a movie and asking our readers and listeners to guess the move. We are expanding this segment to create other challenges. For this week, the challenge to is to guess who the person is (they will always be a public figure)! Please go here and try it out.
