Micro-engagement refers to small, frequent interactions that users have with a product, service, or platform. These interactions are designed to be quick, requiring minimal effort from the user, physically and cognitively, while providing immediate value. 


2. What is micro-engagement for senior living communities and how does this work?

Micro-engagement for seniors involves brief, meaningful interactions that enhance their daily lives without requiring extensive effort or complex learning. These can include community-wide SMS text messages, phone calls, quick interactions via smart speakers, with the content delivered through devices the seniors are already comfortable with, like smartphones, smart speakers, and even phone land lines. The purpose is to provide seniors with consistent, low-barrier opportunities to stay connected and mentally stimulated, and meet them where they are. These micro-engagements are designed to fit seamlessly into their routines, leveraging technology they are already comfortable with, and helping to combat loneliness by creating opportunities to interact with other members of the community that are also consuming content from such micro-engagement.


3. What is the learning curve for our staff?

Anyone who knows how to use a calendar (such as Outlook or Google calendar) will be able to easily use the Witlingo Micro-Engage product.  Staff can pick up modules from a drop down, select their audience, and set up a calendar schedule.  


4. Our residents already have tablets.

Tablets are wonderful devices, but they often require seniors to not only learn how to navigate the software that is installed on them but to be proactive in using them.  In addition, a tablet is one more device that the residents would need to carry around or have nearby.  In contrast, with Witlingo Micro-engagements, residents not only do not need to remember to do anything, since the notifications are sent to them, but the content is sent to them to their preferred devices, most often their smartphone, but also if they wish, their smart speaker, and even their landlines.
