1. This week's Highlight: I just published an essay on Opus Research titled,  "On Voice First Affordances."  To read it, please go here.

2. Quote of the week: "The much-hyped Noveto N1 offered yet another take on the future of audio consumption, using proprietary beamforming technology to create a binaural listening experience without the need for headphones. The result is an immersive spatial audio experience for the listener, without disturbing the sonic space of anyone nearby." Check it out here.

3. Worth reading:

4. Worth Watching: Beginner’ Guide to Audio Content Marketing: 8 tips to get started

5. Also Worth WatchingThe latest episode of Lingofest. This week, it's Part One of our interview with Lauren Johnson, co-founder and President of the I Am Alexa Alliance, an organization with the immediate mission is to have "Amazon rebrand their virtual assistant to a non-human name, and eliminate the “Alexa” wake word," and the longer term mission of raising the awareness of technologists and business leaders about the impact of their choices and decisions on human beings, with the hope that such awareness will lead them to deliver healthy and life enhancing products and solutions.

Guess the movie: And now for some fun! Can you tell what movie this is just from the audio? Go here and try it out.

  • For this week, the movie was 2001: A Space Odyssey, directed by Stanley Kubrick. The winner this week is  Dylan Zwick, Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer at Pulse Labs and now 4th time winner of Guess The Movie contest. Well done!
