What is Witlingo Tap to Learn?
Witlingo Tap to Learn gives you a simple way to see the latest information from your community using your phone. Just tap a Witlingo NFC tag and your community’s Bulletin Board will open in your web browser.
Do I need to download an app?
No. You can view the Bulletin Board directly in your phone’s browser.
Do I need a username or password?
No. There is no login, username, or password.
What happens when I tap an NFC tag?
Your phone opens your community’s Bulletin Board, where you can see current announcements, events, reminders, resources, and other community information.
Where can I find an NFC tag?
Your community may place NFC tags in convenient locations such as the lobby, elevator, community room, front desk, or other common areas.
Can I have my own NFC key?
Yes. If you would like an NFC key that you can carry with you or keep in your housing unit, ask your service coordinator or property manager for one.
What should I tell staff when I ask for my NFC key?
Let staff know your preferred language. This helps make sure community information is available to you in the language that works best for you.
Can I see the information in my preferred language?
Yes. Witlingo can present community information in your preferred language.
Can I listen instead of reading?
Yes. You can also listen to available community information in your preferred language.
What if I lose my NFC key?
Simply ask your community staff for another one. Your personal information is not stored on the NFC key.
Can someone else use my NFC key?
Yes. The key simply opens your community’s public Bulletin Board. It does not contain your personal information.
Can my family have an NFC key too?
Yes. A family member can keep an NFC key at home and use it to stay informed about public events, activities, and other information from your community.
Does the NFC tag track me?
No. The NFC tag simply directs your phone to your community’s Bulletin Board.
What if my phone does not respond when I tap?
Hold the top or back of your phone close to the NFC tag for a moment. If it still does not work, ask your community staff for help.
